The Credit Union's Annual Building Block Club Party (for members under 18 years old) will be held Monday May 3rd at the Sanborn Fire Hall on Buffalo Street in Sanborn NY. The party will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. food and beverages will be served. Please call the Credit Union to register by Thursday April 29th.
Auto Loan Sale
Spring is in the air and many people are thinking about purchasing a new vehicle. To help our members we are having an auto loan sale for the months of April & May. We will be reducing our already low rates ½%* for the sale (* rate depends on your credit score). The same rates will apply to motorcycle loans. If you are not sure if the timing is right you can still apply for a pre-approved loan and you will lock in the low rate for 60 days from your date of approval. If you already have a vehicle but you have financed it with another financial institution, let us refinance it. As an added incentive to finance with the Credit Union any member who applies is approved and has the loan disbursed by May 31st, 2010 will be entered into a drawing. The winner of the drawing will have the option of two prizes 1) Have their approved loan rate decreased by 1% (effective June 1st) for the length of the loan or 2) Have the Credit Union make their June loan payment.

Introducing our Board of Directors
The Annual Meeting of the membership of the Niagara Wheatfield Federal Credit Union was held on Monday March 29th at the Casa Nova Restaurant. At the meeting Paul Bassette was re-elected to the Board of Directors for a three year term. In addition to Mr. Bassette the other Board members are as follows:

NWFCU Scholarship Committee News
Applications for the NWFCU 12th annual scholarship competition will be available at the Credit Union office, Niagara Wheatfield Senior High Counseling Center and sponsoring companies on or just before the Credit Union�s annual meeting in March, 2010. There will be $1500 worth of scholarship awards given to two-three quality applicants. As a reminder, the applicant must be a member in good standing at the Credit Union and be a senior in high school or a high school graduate of any age who is considering attending college. Applicants will also be eligible if they are presently attending a post-secondary undergraduate accredited school, college or university and have not been a past recipient of a NWFCU scholarship.

Supervisory Committee Audit
The Supervisory Committee is conducting their bi-annual verification of member�s accounts. The verification is as of March 31st, 2010. If you have questions about your balances or did not receive a statement please contact the SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE at: PO BOX 303, SANBORN, NY 14132-0303.

We also added a link to our MasterCard credit card www.ezcardinfo.com where you can review your recent credit card activity, pay your bill etc.

Safeguarding your information
Be advised that there are many scams going around where unscrupulous people are trying to obtain your confidential member information. The Credit Union will never call you, e-mail you, text you, etc. and ask for your confidential member information as we have this on file. If you receive any type of message asking for your information i.e. credit card number, pin # account # etc. do not respond to the message as it is probably a scam. If you inadvertently gave out your personal information PLEASE CALL THE CREDIT UNION IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN TAKE STEPS TO BLOCK ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACTIVITY.
